Every round drops you on a real street somewhere in the world. Look around, move along the road, and hunt for clues — language on signs, licence plates, driving side, vegetation, architecture. When you have a hunch, open the map, drop your pin and confirm. A game is five rounds; each round is worth up to 5,000 points, so a perfect game is 25,000.

Scoring follows an exponential curve based on distance. A pin within about 50 metres scores the full 5,000. Roughly 1,000 km off scores about 2,500, and the score keeps halving from there. Timing out a round scores 0.

You can play solo games, Journeys, Country Streak and PinBot without one. A free account unlocks the Daily Challenge, leaderboards, Duels, Quick Match, Parties, the Monthly Tournament, the Weekly World Tour and friends — and syncs your XP and progress between the web and the iOS app.

Yes. The web app and the iOS app share the same account system. Sign in with the same account on both and your XP, scores, streaks, duels and friends stay in sync.

One shared five-round run per day — every player in the world gets the exact same locations. You get one attempt, rounds are capped at 60 seconds, and playing daily builds your streak. The challenge resets at your local midnight.

A duel is an asynchronous one-versus-one: both players play the same five rounds and the higher total wins. Create a duel and share its 6-letter code, or use Quick Match to get paired with a random opponent (whole world, 60-second rounds). You can see your opponent's ghost pins in the results, and rematch when it's over.

A host creates a party and shares a 5-letter code. Everyone who joins plays the same five rounds, and the lobby shows live who has finished and the standings. Great for groups.

The Monthly Tournament is a world ladder with 60-second rounds — the same seeded rounds for everyone, best run counts, resets on the 1st. The Weekly World Tour is a themed ladder (capitals, islands, the Americas and so on) that rotates every Monday.

You're dropped somewhere and just have to name the country. Every correct answer extends your streak; one miss ends the run. Runs are recorded to your profile when signed in.

Curated five-stop routes played in order, like a road trip — Tokyo to Hiroshima, New York to San Francisco and more. There's no timer, and your best score per journey is saved.

Every finished game earns XP: 100 for completing it plus your score divided by 20. Levels follow a quadratic curve (level n needs 250 × (n−1)² total XP), so early levels come quickly and later ones take dedication.

Badge tiers unlock at level milestones and show next to your name across the game: Rookie (1), Explorer (3), Pathfinder (6), Globetrotter (10), Navigator (15), Champion (20) and Legend (25).

Hints are power-ups spent mid-round. Hot/Cold (1 token) tells you how close your current pin is; Compass Ping (1 token) gives the direction from your pin to the target; Region Reveal (2 tokens) names the continent and the first letter of the country. You start with 3 tokens and earn 2 more with every level.

Eighteen achievements covering firsts (first game, first daily, first friend), skill (a perfect 5,000-point round, 15,000+ and 20,000+ games), dedication (10 and 50 games, level 5 and 10, 3-day daily streak), country streaks of 5 and 15, duel wins, hosting a party, and completing journeys.

Open Profile and choose Edit username. Names are 3–16 characters and must be unique.

Pro is an optional upgrade purchased in the iOS app (managed by the App Store). Your Pro status is linked to your account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends — manage or cancel any time in your App Store subscription settings.

In the iOS app, open Profile → Delete account. You can also email us and we'll remove your account and the personal data linked to it.

Check your connection first. On the web, an ad blocker or privacy extension can block Google Maps — try allowing maps.googleapis.com. If a specific round has no imagery, the game skips outward to the nearest covered street automatically; if it still fails, leave the game and start a new one.
