Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pindrop mobile application and the Pindrop web app (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or playing Pindrop, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Pindrop is a geography guessing game. You are shown a street-level view of a real place and score points by pinning its location on a map. The Service includes single-player modes, asynchronous multiplayer modes (duels, parties, tournaments and ladders), leaderboards, achievements and an XP/level progression system.

2. Accounts

• You can play some modes without an account. Competitive modes (leaderboards, duels, daily challenge, tournaments, parties, friends) require a free account.
• You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.

3. Usernames and conduct

When using the Service you agree not to:

• choose a username that is offensive, impersonates another person, or infringes anyone's rights;
• cheat, use automation, exploit bugs, or manipulate scores, matchmaking, streaks or leaderboards;
• harass or abuse other players;
• reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We may rename accounts, reset scores, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Purchases and Pindrop Pro

Optional paid features ("Pindrop Pro") may be offered as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store. Billing, renewal and cancellation of subscriptions are handled by Apple under their terms; subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed in your App Store account settings. Purchases made on iOS apply to your Pindrop account across platforms where technically available.

5. Third-party content

Street-level imagery and maps are provided by Google Maps and Google Street View and are subject to Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. We do not control and are not responsible for that imagery.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, design, code, artwork, sounds and game content (excluding third-party map imagery), is owned by the developer of Pindrop and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own entertainment.

7. Availability and changes

We may add, change or remove features (including game modes, seasonal ladders and leaderboards), and may suspend or discontinue the Service in whole or in part at any time. Seasonal content such as daily challenges, weekly tours and monthly tournaments resets on a schedule and past standings may be archived or removed.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that imagery will be available for every location.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Pindrop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, scores or progression, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
